Keshi proud to list Omeruo

Abuja - Super Eagles coach Stephen Keshi is proud to have given defender Kenneth Omeruo the chance to make a return to the national team after three months on the sideline. Omeruo underwent surgery after picking up a shoulder injury at the FIFA Confederations Cup in July, and has since missed national team duty. The Chelsea player returned to training with the club’s first team last week, a development that resulted in Keshi listing him in the squad that will take on Ethiopia in the return match of the 2014 World Cup qualifier in Calabar. According to a report on MSN, Keshi said he is delighted to have Omeruo back in the team as he believes his return will boost the defense of the Super Eagles. Nigeria host Ethiopia on November 16 in Calabar, and a draw will be enough to see the West Africans through to Brazil 2014 after a 2-1 lead in the first leg.
